The Importance of Parent Collaboration

here is nothing more satisfying than collaborating with a parent in a way that deepens the therapist’s knowledge of the child and increases the parent’s confidence in meeting their child’s needs.

As a parent, you are the one who knows your child best and have a relationship unparalleled. You hold gems of information and perspective that can take your child’s intervention to the next level.

As therapists, we have the tools of assessment and therapeutic strategies and are able to apply them to the unique strengths and weaknesses of each child on our caseload.

Imagine what can happen when the people with two complementary skill sets can have a trusting relationship, learning from and growing each other!
