Today is the LAST DAY of our post series highlighting some of my favorite resources for hybrid therapy. This last post goes over hands-on materials that are engaging whether I’m conducting in person or teletherapy sessions.
.
1️⃣ ARTICULATION STICKS: These are super easy to hold up to my webcam without blocking my face since they are narrow. Find a set from @puttingwordsinyourmouth !
.
2️⃣ MAGNET DRESS UP: This is a fun reinforcer and activity to target vocabulary and pronouns in therapy sessions. I love the ones from @melissaanddougtoys :)
.
3️⃣ CROCODILE DENTIST: My kiddos always want ME to shove my hand in the croc’s mouth anyways so it is a fun and motivating way for them to engage with me!
.
4️⃣ SPEECH SOUND VISUALS: There are a lot of choices out there but I love the sets from @speechlanguageillustrated and @bjoremspeech :) They are both visually interesting and able to be held up easily or incorporated into your materials.
.
5️⃣ FLYING CARPER GAME: Another game where my kids like ME to take the chances and add on pieces without the carpet falling!
.
6️⃣ JENGA: A nice activity for your older kids. I use a colored version and have each color represent a type of question asked or sound position (initial, medial, final).
.
I hope you all have enjoyed the series and have some more “tools in your belt” before jumping into a new season of therapy!
