Today’s pairing is all about music! Music is such a fun way to encourage creativity, self-expression, and language! When playing with musical instruments or while singing, pick out a sound word and functional vocabulary word to promote social interaction and communication skills.

SOUND PLAY: boom, toot, la la la, shh.

FUNCTIONAL VOCAB: go, stop, play, loud/soft.

You can also play around with words like high/low and fast/slow to teach those concepts and put a fun twist on the activity. See what your child enjoys and follow their lead!
