Is your child “hanging out” in the simple phrase stage of their communication development?
Here’s one of the first sentence structures I teach kids to help them go from phrases to simple sentences! 👇
He/She/They/It
+ Is/Are
+ Action + ING
Why?
Because this sentence structure can EASILY be expanded upon as your child’s vocabulary and sentence structure skills grow.
Try modeling this sentence structure while looking at pages in books, co-viewing shows or apps with your child during screen time, or while observing friends and family during daily activities!
